National Institute on Trial Advocacy (NITA) Tribal Prosecuting or Legal Aid Attorney Training

10-16-2018 - 10-18-2018

free

Participants in the Trial Skills Program will use NITA’s “learning-by-doing” method to learn, practice, and perfect their skills in all of the challenging arts of trial advocacy, persuasion, and communication.

In a realistic trial setting, participants will function as a trial lawyer by performing direct and cross-examinations.  The learning-by-doing exercises are supplemented by innovative lectures and trial demonstrations by the faculty. Following live and digitally recorded performances, participants will be given instant feedback and critique (not criticism) from the renowned national NITA faculty of master advocates and trainers.

UTFAV along with NITA plans to provide this program free of charge on October 16 – October 18, 2018, in Petoskey, Michigan at the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians Tribal Court Facility.  Participants are responsible for travel expenses.

If you would like more information about NITA, please visit their website at nita.org
